The big bang - creating the sparks for change

The aim of this day is to provide information on new and exisiting policies that effect play, share good practice and learn new skills. Workshops will include elements of policy review, new play theory and practical skills to take back to your place of work. This conference is aimed at all involved in play and children and young people's well-being. So whether you are a face-to-face playworker, local authority planner or a senior policy maker, there will be something for everyone. This event will run from 10.00am to 4.30pm.

YP-in (Young People's Inclusion Network) Roadshows 2008
Taking Place at - The Carriageworks, Leeds
The Young People's Inclusion Network (YP-in) is a three-year project and part of KIDS, and the National Development Division. YP-in set out to investigate and develop what makes inclusion work for Disabled Young People. YP-in works with Disabled Young People aged 11-25 to examine the barriers that prevent their inclusion in youth and leisure services and potential strategies to overcome them. This event seeks to share their learning and introduce the tools and resources they have developed out of the learning. The programme will be held at The Carriage Works in Leeds on the 30th October 2008 and will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
