Yorkshire Play is the not for profit organisation (registered as a limited company) that has been set up to support Play and Playwork in the Yorkshire and The Humber region.

The company was formed in November 2005 by the amalgamation of the committee of the former Yorkshire and The Humber Centre for Playwork Education and Training and the Yorkshire Play Policy Network with the participation of the Yorkshire Play Officer’s Group. The company is managed by a board of directors who represent a wide range of areas in Yorkshire and The Humber, all sectors and a variety of specialisms including:

Yorkshire Play now holds the Service Level Agreement with SkillsActive (the sector skills council for active leisure and learning) to coordinate the work of the Yorkshire and The Humber Centre for Playwork Education and Training (YHCPET) and therefore deliver Playwork education and training development in the region.
